VIDEO ENHANCED SURVEYS

We now text almost as much as we speak. We send e-mails in place of letters and just for the fun of it. And where before a video was something we rented, we now make our own and put them up on You Tube for the world to see.
In January 2008, nearly 79 million users watched 3 billion video views on You Tube alone. So as we download, swap and exchange information we’ve become used to doing so in the medium that suits us best or simply takes our fancy. Video enhanced online surveys bring that same thinking to surveys.
Video enhanced online surveys (VEOS for short) change the face of online surveying; providing you with the opportunity to exhort, enthuse and explain on the same screen as the survey itself. With VEOS the video appears to the left of the screen while the survey is running on the right. And the video can be paused, restarted or replayed.
VEOS lets you can tell respondents face-to-face how important their participation is to you, what differences they can expect as a result of their feedback and indeed what you’ve done in response to previous surveys. This ‘reason why’ is essential by the way if you are to maximise participation by your most valuable regular or repeat customers and indeed by employees in climate studies. But whether your survey audience is external or internal, local or global, the few or the many, you will get richer feedback and more of it if you enhance your online surveys with video. In other words if you speak to the people in the way they like to be spoken to.
